About the Name 'Temple Restored'

Temple Restored gets its ministry name from Daniel 8:14, "Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed". Cleansed means to be made right again or to be made righteous. Jesus is coming back for a restored body and church temple; those who have received Him as their personal Savior and through faith have had imparted to them His righteousness, His own unblemished character. It is the mission of Temple Restored to assist Him in restoring the soul, body and church temple.

Meet John and Windy Skeete

John and Windy have been involved in various aspects of ministry for thirty-eight years. They began their own part-time ministry in 1987, leaving their secular employment in 1990 to engage in full-time Gospel Evangelism. It was in 1990 that they first began to understand the connection of physical health with spirituality. This new understanding led to a shift in emphasis and they decided to re-name their ministry "Temple Restored Ministry". 

John was formerly a correctional officer for the state of California, and enjoyed working to help rehabilitate the young felons whose lives were marred by criminal activity and destructive behavior. As a Youth Counselor who conducted groups on an alcohol/drug prison unit, John saw the inadequacies of rehabilitation programs which lacked a spiritual component. After leaving his secular employment to fulfill his calling as a lay minister, he has continued to minister to young people and adults in finding the Gospel solution to a life marred by sin.

​​John completed a Massage and Hydrotherapy course in the mid 1990's at Desert Hot Springs School of Massage in Southern California. He has undertaken a home-based program to study the Gospel Message and has interned under various Ministers in the fields of Health and Evangelism.

Windy was formerly a Registered Dental Assistant working in several dental specialties and as a front office manager in southern and northern California. In 1985 after spending time with a patient whose wife was dying from a terminal disease, Windy began praying about a career change to meet the needs of the whole person, and shortly thereafter received her call from the Lord to ministry. In 1986 after leaving her secular employment the Lord started her on a journey of education and training for His service.

Windy completed a Natural Therapy course in 1991, a Master Herbalist course in 1993, and a Swedish Massage course in 1999. She has worked as an assistant Health Director for a self-supporting Health Center in Queensland Australia. She built and now manages a home-based business called "Herb Time Plus - Natural Solutions for Healthy Living".

In 1999 John and Windy began a twelve-week Medical Missionary Training School which included an additional six months of internship. In 2005, they opened a Lifestyle Center on their property in Wisconsin, which operated until the ministry's relocation to Indiana. Even after the move, they remain committed to welcoming individuals into their home, offering education and support to help them make lifestyle changes for improved physical, mental and spiritual health.

They employ a distinctive teaching approach that combines the testimony of Scripture with current events, personal stories, and scientific insights to reinforce their message. While they emphasize ministry grounded in sound scholarship, they also incorporate practical, hands-on instruction whenever possible.

John and Windy have shared studies on both Health and the Gospel in over 20 states across America. Their international calls to ministry have taken one or both of them to: Sweden, Germany, England, Bermuda, Colombia, Panama, Guatemala, Honduras, Costa Rica, The Philippines, Japan, Australia, Togo, Ghana, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, Malawi, and Dominican Republic.
