Medical Missionary Work is a many-sided work that reaches out in many different lines. It is a much needed work in the world today, yet there are few who have engaged in it, or who have sought to be educated in it. Those who know nothing about medical missionary work except how to give Bible studies or preach a sermon, are not prepared to reach down into the human depths of our great cities to labor among the heathen, neglected, and morally depressed people and meet the needs of both body and soul.

Temple Restored Ministry has been involved in teaching health principles from the Bible since 1987 after participating in a "Medical Missionary Conference" held at Pacific Union College in Angwin California. We then began conducting health seminars across the U.S., in churches, homes, the public library, and overseas.

In 1999 TR began a Medical Missionary Training School in Northwest Wisconsin which was run for several years. Students received twelve weeks of both theoretical and practical training in medical missionary work and the gospel. Their education continued with a six month internship in the field of their choice, putting into practice the principles they had learned. TR is preparing to resume the program which will be expanded to nine to twelve months of training.

In 2002 TR contacted a few other ministries with the desire of uniting our efforts together to organize Medical Missionary Training Seminars once a year in various states. This dream came to pass and we organized into the "Society of Medical Missionary Evangelists" and held our first Annual Medical Missionary Symposium in Virginia.
