In 2006 Temple Restored Ministry made a commitment to begin to support
some of the dedicated men who work as Bible Workers for their Churches,
if they in turn would forward to us some written and photo documentation
of their work. While in Ghana we noticed how these poorly paid brethren
were faithfully shouldering the heavy responsibilities that a Pastor or Evangelist would normally bear.  In an average week, these brothers would
often lead out in Church services, spend 15-20 hours per week visiting
people in the community or conducting Bible Studies. We learned that
they spent part of their busy week visiting and praying with church
members, praying with the sick and conducting three prayer meetings on
weeknights for their local church. Most of the Bible Workers serve multiple
congregations, which requires time on public transport.   All this, on a
woefully inadequate wage.

So starting with two worker's and slowly expanding as we could find
financial partners, Temple Restored Ministry launched the Ghana Bible
Worker Program and we are currently assisting 6 workers there. We are currently expanding our program beyond the regions of Ghana to other countries in Africa, as the needs are great. After this last trip to Malawi and Kenya, we are now supporting 5 workers in Kenya. We will continue to support workers as long as the funds are coming in for them. Our dream is to provide not only financial support but study materials, training  seminars and ultimately a local educational facility (which is currently being built in Ghana) where the skills of these workers can be developed and refined. In the last four years we have seen a great improvement in the morale of the Bible Workers and as well as the quality of work where they labor.

These Bible Workers --most of whom are married with children-- are
currently being paid between $100.00-$125.00 per month; which is
$60.00-$100.00 below what they need to feed, house, clothe, and pay
for school fees. We are currently attempting to raise more funds to purchase bicycles for the Bible Workers who still don't have a bicycle for work near their home.

Bible Worker Program
Just a handful of the scores of Time Cards, quarterly progress reports and dozens of pictures documenting what the BW’s have been doing over the last few half of 2008.
Left: Often the Bible Workers conduct their Bible Studies on the street or in some public place. Here Aeron is giving a study on Daniel Chapter seven. Center: Temple Restored has recently committed to purchasing ten bicycles with baskets to save the workers time in moving from place to place. Right: Brother Boadi sharing a study on the oft mis-understood Revelation chapter 13. Like elsewhere the masses in Ghana are ignorant of Prophecy.
In the center of this picture (holding Bible) is Felix Opoku-Agyemang. This humble, hardworking brother in the Central District does most of his work in groups of small numbers.
This picture shows 16 of the Bible Workers, 4 of the Pastors (who are in charge of
entire Districts with multiple churches) and 5 church workers who happen to be there the day this picture.

Ministry
Dear Bro Skeete,

We are all doing well and steadfast in prayers for all mankind and in deed to you especially for your generous contributions towards this congregation and it has always been our wish that the Lord almighty will reward for your benevolence.

Since the last report, we attended the funeral of the district pastor who died in a motor accident and by God’s grace all went well. It is very gratifying to also announce to you that we have been getting people visiting our congregation every now and then, due to our house-to-house evangelism, and it is my wish that I would one day get a public address system or a loud speaker to help me in propagating the gospel to the people at market places.

May the great Lord continue to bless you with the good work you are doing with inspiration from god by providing information and bibles to this congregation to spread the gospel news. Through your support and contributions people have come to know the truth by reading the bibles you provided.

Through my daily evangelism, I came in contact with this fellow who invited me to his work place to evangelize during their break period and by the grace of god I have been going there frequently and the people have received the message of the Sabbath and it is delightful to know that some of these people have started visiting our congregation.

I also happen to have given a man a track and the man called me a couple of days afterwards and requested that I should visit his home to evangelize to him and his family. In all this, I give thanks to god for giving us his words in the Bible and also I think you have also contributed greatly through your encouragement and support to me and my congregation at large.

The Dodowa church always remembers you and you should be rest assured that our prayers are always with you. We ask of God’s guidance and blessing to you and your family now and always.

Your Brother in Christ
