John and Windy have been involved in various aspects of ministry for twenty-six years. They began their own part-time ministry in 1985, leaving their secular employment in 1990 to engage in full time Gospel Evangelism. It was in 1990 that they first began to understand the connection of physical health with spirituality. This new understanding led to a shift in emphasis and they decided to re-name their ministry: “The Temple Restored Ministry”.
John was formerly a correctional officer for the state of California, and enjoyed working with the young felons whose lives were marred by criminal activity and destructive behavior. As a Youth Counselor who conducted groups on an alcohol/drug prison unit, John saw the inadequacies of rehabilitation programs which lacked a spiritual component. After leaving his
secular employment to fulfill his calling as a lay minister, he has continued to minister to young people and adults in finding the Gospel solution to a life marred by sin.
About Us
John completed a Massage & Hydrotherapy course in the mid 1990's at Desert Hot Springs School of Massage in Southern California. He has undertaken a home-based program to study the Gospel Message and has interned under various Ministers in the fields of Health and Evangelism.
Windy was formerly a Registered Dental Assistant, and front office manager before deciding to unite with her husband in full time ministry. Instead of damaged teeth, she now works to remove decay from hearts and homes.
After leaving her secular employment she completed a Natural Therapy course in 1992 then followed up with a course on Herbs in 1993. Windy built and now manages a natural product business out of her home called "Herb Time Plus-Natural Solutions for Healthy Living". She has worked as an assistant Health Director for a self-supporting Health Center in Queensland Australia and has also done extensive home study as directed by the Holy Spirit.
This husband and wife team employ a unique style of teaching which blends the testimony of the Scriptures with current events, anecdotal stories and scientific information in order to bring their point home. Though they stress ministry based on sound scholarship, they also use as much hands-on, practical instruction as possible.
John and Windy have shared studies on both Health and the Gospel in over 20 states across America. Their international calls to ministry have taken one or both of them to: Sweden, Germany, England, Bermuda, Colombia, Panama, Guatemala, Honduras, Costa Rica, The Philippines, Japan, Australia, Togo, Ghana, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, Malawi, and Dominican Republic.
